My name is Boruch Rappaport, I grew up in America, and have been living in Jerusalem for about thirty years. All of my married life I have been learning and teaching full time in Kollelim (advanced Torah learning institutions) until recently when I switched to part time.

Regarding Sofrus, I learned the sources, and gained some practical experience through writing and haga'ah (proofreading).

I am sensitive to the problem of buying STaM (Tefillin and Mezuzos and so forth) over the internet from someone that you don't really know personally. I work with transparency so that you will gain confidence that I can supply you with bonefied above-average Kashrus and value.

I am well known in many Orthodox communities as honest, reliable, knowledgeable, and dependable. Let me know where you are from and I will give you references.

I was trained in Haga'ah (proofreading) from someone who is way above average, who instilled in me two important traits which put him (and therefore me) a head and shoulders above rank and file proofreaders:

1) For the items that he sells, he corrects much more than he needs to correct, in order that the customer will be less likely to return to him with complaints, and

2) He makes his examination using a light behind the klaf (the parchment). From the strict requirement of Jewish law this is not necessary, and if I am not in error most proofreaders do not do this, still by using a light you pick up much more.

I myself am not yet certified, and therefore the haga'ah for anything that I sell meanwhle was done by someone else who is certified, but I made sure (including with my own two eyes) that these stringincies were done, thus giving the item more intrinsic value.

You can contact me by phone at 972-2-652-7420 from Sunday through Thursday from 8 am till 11:59 pm. Keep in mind that we are GMT+3, and kindly refrain from calling on Fridays and Saturdays (and Jewish Holidays).
